CARE

Our jewelry is crafted with the utmost care and high-quality materials, designed to be worn every day. However, proper care can extend the life and beauty of your pieces.

Everyday Care

Humidity, skin oils, and frequent handling can cause tarnishing over time. The natural patina that develops on untreated metals like sterling silver or brass can be polished to maintain shine, or left for a vintage look.

We recommend removing your jewelry before activities like showering, swimming (particularly in chlorinated pools), sleeping, or exercising. Exposure to sweat and chemicals can affect the durability and appearance of the jewelry.

When getting ready, put your jewelry on last to avoid contact with perfume, makeup, hairspray, and moisturizers, which can dull the metal's finish.

Storage

Store your pieces in a cool, dry place. Ideally, keep them in their original pouches or a sealed plastic bag to protect from humidity and sunlight, both of which can accelerate tarnishing.

Keep different jewelry pieces separate to avoid scratches and tangling, especially delicate chains or pieces with stones.

Cleaning & Polishing

For sterling silver and brass, clean regularly with a soft, microfiber cloth or a specific polishing cloth like the Sunshine polishing cloth, which contains polishing compounds.

Before polishing, gently clean your jewelry with mild soap and warm water to remove oils or dirt. Be sure to dry completely with a soft cloth before polishing.

For deep cleaning, soak your silver pieces in a mix of warm water, a little detergent, and aluminum foil. After 10 minutes, scrub gently with a soft toothbrush and dry with a cloth.

Avoid using abrasive cleaners, as they may scratch the surface or remove delicate plating.

Care for Plated Jewelry

Gold-plated pieces are especially delicate. Avoid polishing these items, as it can wear off the plating.

Keep gold-plated jewelry away from water, sweat, lotions, and perfumes to preserve the finish. Remove them before bathing, swimming, or exercising.

If you notice any tarnishing, clean gold-plated items with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately.

Pearls & Gemstones

Pearls, corals, and gemstones are more sensitive than metals. To maintain their luster, avoid contact with perfumes, chemicals, and lotions.

Clean these materials gently with a damp cloth and avoid submerging them in water.

When not worn, store pieces with pearls and gemstones in a separate cloth bag to avoid scratching.
